Tiffany Taylor Smith – New Jersey, USA
Tiffany Taylor Smith is the Founder of Culture Learning Partners. She is a cultural competency educator and consultant with 20 years of experience in corporate and school and diversity. Her professional background includes over 10 years of experience in human resource development, diversity, and sales management at Procter & Gamble, where she developed an internal system designed to retain and develop minority and women employees. Her corporate experience includes recruiting and training of new employees. Ms. Taylor Smith is the author of “Six Tips for International Student Success in US Schools” and co-author of an article published in Independent School magazine summer 2011 titled, “Embracing Culture, Teaching Change Strategies for Professional Development and Personal Growth.” In addition to her cultural training and consulting, she has been professor of child and adolescence psychology at Kean University and Seton Hall University. She has presented and spoken about cultural competence at conferences and workshops around the country. She received a Master of Education specializing in Counseling Services from Fordham University and Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Rochester. Tiffany is dedicated to helping individuals and organizations build better cross-cultural relationships.
Sandra Ruiz – Barcelona, Spain
Sandra Ruiz has over 15 years of experience in a Fortune 500 corporation where she developed a career in Sales & Marketing and ultimately, Human Resources. Ms. Ruiz has led projects focused on intercultural integration, leadership development and ethnic marketing. In parallel she pioneered programs in the recruitment, retention, and advancement of young managers through mentoring and diversity management initiatives. Most recently she’s led sales training in an acquisition environment where she’s built bridges between corporate cultures. This experience was the catalyst for her to formalize a career in Human Resources. Ms. Ruiz now serves as a strategic business partner coaching leaders on developing the capability and performance of the organization. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Ms. Ruiz is energized by multicultural heritage and international living experience to support global leadership. Often perplexed when asked the question; “Where are you from?” as she has felt that she walked in more than one world. Her passion for building bridges between cultures and generating personal development possibilities is born from this multicultural view of the world. Ms. Ruiz earned a Masters Degree in intercultural Education and immigration from the University of Barcelona and a Bachelors of Arts from Rutgers University in Communication and Spanish. She also is certified as a Coach from the Newfield Network (USA/Chile).
Xiao (Ryan) Liu – Beijing, China
Ryan Liu currently serves as the International Student Advisor Program coordinator at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) International Business School- Solbridge Program His easy going manner and strong teamwork skills enable him to effectively communicate with clients and students from diverse backgrounds. During his graduate studies, he worked as an Ofﬁce Assistant at International Students Services Office of University of Bridgeport. During this period, he helped more than 1000 students from different countries. In the meantime, Mr. Liu built a foundation for the peer advisory support group. This group helped the international students understand U 5. culture and adjust themselves lo the new environment and life. He also used sports activities to build trusting relationships between the group members.
As a Program coordinator and student Advisor in BFSU-lBS-Solbridge program, Xiao Liu established a basketball club tor the international students from over 44 countries. ln addition. To helping the international students, understand Chinese culture, Mr. Liu and his colleagues also arranged different cultural events for the students such as visiting famous places around China. Xiao Liu is also doing research on cultural diversity and counseling international students in foreign countries. Mr. Liu earned a Masters in Counseling Education, Specialization ln Human Services in 2011 from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, and received a Bachelor of Management from Beijing Forestry University in 2006.
Kendra Maultsby-Mudd is a Human Resource Manage for Cintas Corporation in Research Triangle Park, NC. In her role as an HR Manager, Kendra’s supports the day-to day functions of the business, including: Staffing, Employee Relations, Benefits & Compensation, Training & Organizational Development, Diversity & Inclusion and Compliance. Kendra began her career in Human Resources at IBM-RTP where she worked in Staffing and Diversity Recruitment. Prior to working for Cintas, Kendra worked at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in the Office of Admissions. As an Admissions Recruiter and Counselor, Kendra “sold business school”, counseled prospective students on the Admissions process, and traveled the world to recruit top-notch candidates to attend the Fuqua School of Business.
Kendra is a proud alumna of the Ohio State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She received her Master of Public Administration from the esteemed North Carolina Central University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
